Mantis shrimp

These mantis shrimps originate from the Mediterranean and are caught wild. The crustaceans are processed immediately after being caught to preserve their natural meat quality. Mantis shrimp meat is pale to slightly pink, with a firm structure and a fine, loose texture. The aroma is mildly sweet and its texture is reminiscent of a mix between shrimp and lobster. The meat structure remains stable when cooked, displaying a fine cut. Mantis shrimps are suitable for quick cooking, grilling, pan-frying, steaming, or for use in high-quality seafood dishes, pasta preparations, or tapas components. They can also be used as a special addition to salads.
